In just some hours into
the protest retreat of the abducted Chibok girls, another nation-shattering
event had taken place at the same scene where there was bomb blast merely a
month ago.
22 persons have been confirmed
dead with an unknown account of injured victims in the bomb blast that ripped
through Nyanya, Abuja early this evening.
Security agencies and
emergency teams are already at the blast scene and have condoned off the scene
of the attack and prevented reporters from accessing the scene.
A source who was at the
blast scene about the time of the explosion says he witness about 17 persons
that were confirmed dead as 5 more dead persons had been recovered under a
shattered bus at the blast scene.
According to Sahara reporters, her correspondent at the
Asokoro General Hospital saw at least six dead bodies brought by ambulances
from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).
Security agencies shad confirmed
about twenty person to be receiving treatment in area hospitals with the
vicinity of the blast.
The latest blast will be a big blow to a
planned Nigerian Economic Forum scheduled for the Nigerian capital city next
week.
