PMAN Applauds Abia Governor Otti for Approving ₦20m Medical Support for Daddy Fresh

The Performing Musicians Employers’ Association of Nigeria (PMAN) has commended the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, for approving a ₦20 million lifeline to support the medical treatment of veteran Nigerian music star, Innocent Michael Onyebuchi, popularly known as Daddy Fresh.

In a statement signed by the Acting General Secretary of PMAN, Elizabeth Gabriel, Esq., the association described the governor’s intervention as an act of compassion and a demonstration of true leadership. PMAN noted that the gesture underscores the governor’s recognition of the impact of musicians on Nigeria’s cultural and creative development.

The association also expressed gratitude to the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Entertainment and Tourism, Hon. Dr. Martins Okey Justice (J. Martins), for his relentless commitment to ensuring the approval of the funds. Additionally, PMAN acknowledged Naijagal for her advocacy in drawing public attention to Daddy Fresh’s health condition, as well as fans and supporters who have offered prayers and assistance during the musician’s health challenges.

PMAN President, Pretty Okafor, assured the public that the association will maintain full accountability in the disbursement of the funds and oversee the delivery of timely medical attention to Daddy Fresh.

The association urged Nigerians, especially the music community, to continue to pray for the artiste’s quick recovery.
