RENOWNED EDUCATIONIST, TOM CASSIDY, STORMS LAGOS

As part of its activities to create global access opportunities, build profitable networks and live envisioned dreams, Iprotrac, a special purpose vehicle, comprising reputable organisations that are in the support services sub-sector in the education industry, such as Green Circle, e2mdc,E talent, Cambridge Hitachi and an encrypted interactive data bank, designed for professional educators held a one-day interactive session/cocktail party when it brought in an international facilitator, Mr. Tom Cassidy, a Comprehensivist and Education reformer from the Cambridge University as a Guest Speaker.

The event which took place at Iprotrac’s Home office, Ikeja, Lagos a few days ago had both the young and old educators(teachers, principals e.t.c), social entrepreneurs, technologists and impact investors in and around Lagos in attendance.

In his opening speech, the management Consultant of Iprotrac said the Conference was one of the many dividends of membership/sign-up to the IPROTRAC PLATFORM. He said it was good to give value and get value in return therefore, the need to have the robust facilitator of international repute as a Guest Speaker.

The Consultant explained that the International Conference for Educators(ICE) under the auspices of Iprotrac, which was originally scheduled to hold in August 24th at the Lagos Business School (LBS), Lekki and August 25th , 2017 at Julius Berger Hall, Unilag, where Tom Cassidy was to be the key Speaker, was cancelled, owning to some logistic problems.

He said the date has now been fixed for 14th of October, 2017.

The Iprotrac Consultant noted that Cassidy’s visit reinforced not only his support for Iprotrac’s Mission as it is the first of its kind in Africa, but Iprotrac’s international profile it enjoys worldwide

Giving his speech, Tom Cassidy, a teaching and learning geek and author, who started his speech with interesting stories of his life, disclosed that his being at the Iprotrac interactive session in Lagos was his first trip to Sub-Saharan Africa.

He said his specialty is designing frameworks to help people become more effective at everything they do from teaching toA mindfulness, as education, according to him, is a process of creation of sound mind in a sound body.

In her speech, the Human Resources Manager of Iprotrac, Mrs. Joy Chibuoke, told the guests what they stand to achieve in their involvement with iprotrac and ICE that is coming up soon.

On his part, Architect Abiodun Oshodi , director International Collaborations and Partnership, disclosed that the Vision and Mission of Iprotrac is to Learn, Connect and be Inspired.

He said a good teacher explains, a superior teacher demonstrates but a great teacher adds value to lives.

According to him, ‘’ it’s time to take charge of your space and your future. Iprotrac and the October 14th ,2017 International Conference for Educatorsare would provide great platforms to networks’’.
