UK resident Daniel Kennedy, while returning after a walk
with the dog, found out that the water supply to his apartment was turned off.
He thought that this was the fault of a group of teenagers, who were near his
residence, and went over to them for a conversation. The verbal fight turned
into a more serious conflict. Instead of talking though, one of the teenagers —
Ryan Duggan, 19 — took out his double-barrel shotgun and shot Kennedy.
The
force of the shot was so strong that Kennedy was taken off of his feet. The victim
was able to return home and called an ambulance.
Police who arrived at the place of shooting, found on the
asphalt a green iPhone 5s, a damaged lead shot. As later told Detective Gary
McIntyre, a smartphone took over the bulk of the fraction, and if not for a
high-tech gadget, the victim would have died right on the spot. Doctors said
that in case of contact with the body, Daniel would have died from loss of
blood, and not waiting for doctors.
