Lagos-based Iinternational school, Grace Schools has clinched the prestigious British Council’s International School Award for the
third time, showcasing
their commitment to
serving their
students, staff, and parents and also to nation-building for the past 54 years
and running.
The British
Council’s
International School Award is a prestigious badge of honor for schools that
bring an international dimension to teaching and learning. It is a global
accreditation scheme that recognizes good practice in incorporating international dimensions in
schools. The award comes with a new accreditation for the next three years by the council to Grace
Schools,
from September 2022 to August 2025
A pioneer in the educational sector in the country, Grace Schools was recognized for being
able to compete in the
global space, with the latest modern teaching facilities and modules that best fit the changes
of the 21st century. The
first recognition came in 2014, and the second in 2017.
This third award crowns the dedicated efforts of the
school to mainstream global excellent practice as part of the culture exemplified
in project-based activities created by the teachers. The award is also due to
the school’s fulfilling the required international classroom partnership on
each project, which allowed Grace Schools pupils to interact with their
counterparts in classrooms in other parts of the world.
Mrs. Olatokunbo Edun, the Executive Director of Grace
Schools, expressed her satisfaction and recorded that the award came on the platter
of the hardwork of staff. She said after what has been a challenging two years for our staff, it’s
incredibly rewarding to have
their efforts recognized because the award is a testament to the commitment, resilience,
and dedication they have shown throughout the pandemic, going above and beyond
every day, I believe that winning this prestigious
award for the third time, has further motivated our consistent promotion of
international awareness and understanding as part of our curriculum, fostering
an international ethos throughout our school and helping to embed it within the
school's culture”.
She further
stated that Grace Schools
are synonymous with excellence, stressing that the British Council ISA further
validates the focus of the school on creativity and qualitative learning
experience for the students.

delivery and have never wavered from developing globally accepted learning
approaches for the students. We
also have a robust manpower development strategy which translates to excellence
for the school”
The Primary
School section was
established in 1968 while the Secondary School commenced in 1994. The stated quality
over the years had continued deliver uncompromising qualitative learning for all
students.
