Two female jail workers were having sexual relationships
with the same male prisoner in an Oregon correctional facility.
Brett Robinson, 32, surrendered to authorities on Tuesday
night after a grand jury indicted her on 12 counts, including six charges of
sexual misconduct. Her arrest occurred a little more than a month after
civilian colleague Jill Curry, 38, was busted on charges she had sexual
relations with the same inmate.
"They didn't cross the line, they torched it,"
Washington County Sheriff Pat Garrett told The Oregonian newspaper. He said the
women's behavior "cuts to the core of who we are. Read more after cut..
The cute prisoner who had sex with the two women has been
identified as Jeng-Li Delgado-Galban, 25, a registered sex offender, He said
that he was the one violated and that his constitutional rights were ignored.
He is suing the two warders for raping him and sexually assaulting him to the
tune of $1M
According to his claim, “these actions [the sexual acts]
violated the Eighth Amendment to United States Constitution’s prohibition of
sexual harassment and abuse of an inmate by corrections personnel.”
At the time of sentencing for one of the women involved,
Jill Curry, the judge stated, “He doesn’t deserve the taxpayers’ money. (But)
they’re going to have to pay, there’s no doubt in my mind.”
Curry was sentenced to four years and two months in prison
in March.
The tort claim also referenced what many prisoners consider
to be “cruel and unusual punishment.” Delgado-Galban claims that he was given
“nutraloaf,” a nutritious but disgusting meal often served as punishment,
despite a lack of any wrongdoing on his part.
