Family spokesman, Abubakar Aliyu told Reporters in Kano that
the incident occurred Saturday afternoon while he was returning from Abuja
alongside his younger brother in a chattered vehicle.
Abubakar Aliyu said that the 36 years old APC stalwart was
in Lagos for official engagement last Friday, adding that he made a stopover in
Abuja same day due to bad weather in Kano that culminated to cancellations of
flight.
He explained that his younger brother, Salmanu Aliyu who was
also in Abuja for private engagement linked his elder brother for a return
journey to Kano by road.
