super eagles and subsequently linked to Ethiopia offer has been denied by the
latter.
Ethiopia has
debunked the ruomour of hiring the former Super Eagles coach Stephen Okechukwu
Keshi as their manager.
An Ethiopian
journalist, Taddeshp Mandefro insisted that the Ethiopian Football
Association(EFA) is yet to receive an application from Keshi, adding that the
job of the present coach, Mariano Barreto is still safe.
Speakin further
to the media, Mandefro said "I spoke with the EFA president Juneidin Basha
on Sunday, October 12, 2014 on the report of Keshi taking over and he said the
EFA have not received any application from Keshi for the EFA job,"
Mandefro said.
"Mariano
Barreto remains the coach of the Ethiopian national team. Even though he is not
doing too well right now, the EFA have not mentioned anything about sack."
