I just
posted Etcetera’s opinion of Omoni’s vulgar appearance before the presidency
during her acclaimed “movie premiere. I read carefully his analysis and Omoni’s
defensive statement on how she saw nothing wrong with her topless gown.
This compels
me to consider the social implication of the immorality that the office of the
presidency has chosen to embrace, to Nigeria-state as a nation which used to
pride her in ample degree of high moral and cultural conservatism.
My first observation was the reaction on Omoni’s
face as she shook hand with Mr President. Every woman who saw that photo will
agree that her look-away pose is surely a signal of pre-existing mutual synergy
which Omoni intends to show-off to “God-knows” (Nigerians? Her fans? Or her
contemporary in Hollywood?). More insulting is the fact that she is a “married
woman”
She held the
president hand in wait as she seems to be too busy to give those one to five
seconds of pleasantry with the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Her
intention apparently was not hinged on the movie, but to display the careless
and incautious closeness she seems to enjoy with the presidency.
This makes
me wonder if the presidency has any form of protocol that checks the traffic of
these so called celebitchies who now see Aso rock as Nollywood after-party
venue to showcase their indecencies and pseudo-moral morass.
I want to believe
that Omoni passed through some security protocols before she finally landed at
the palms of the” big-catch”. Are we
saying mode of dressing should not be considered before one can see the most
important person in state? I begin to wonder if Mama Peace sees no moral need
to checkmate the excesses of these value-hungry Naija babes who have chosen Aso
rock as their club house. Maybe she sees nothing wrong with it, until ladies
start coming in naked for album lunch and movie premiere.
Omoni Oboli
vulgar appearance at the presidential villa is a National insult, not only to Mr
President but to Nigerians. It is an affront to the collective moral value of
or culture as a state and as such she should tender an apology for her
uncultured attitude. She has desecrated the sacred alter of our morality and
conservative pastime. Nigerians frown at her and her allies who might be
nursing the same Jezbelian ambition.
Let Mr President spend those time allotted to Nollywood trivial
to accommodate Nigerian youth and hear their plight. Let him go visiting
displaced community that has been ravaged by the insurrectionists called Boko
Haram.
The president at this time needs no seductive distraction and
so does Nigeria.
