NDW Mourns Distinguished PWD Advocate Prince Sunday Adelabu

  



 

The First and top-notch largest coalition of the Network of Women with disabilities NDW have expressed a deep sense of loss over the death of a foremost  distinguished advocate for persons with disabilities in the country Prince  Sunday Adelabu on Thursday 29th July 2021.

 

Mrs Lois Auta the president and founder of the NWD expressed a deep sense of loss decrying the huge vacuum created by the demise of prince Sunday Adelabu.

 

Speaking on behalf of the NDW she said

  "The disability community in Nigeria lost a father figure ". Mr Adelabu has  been at the part of Disability struggling from the beginning as the  first President of Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities,

Prince Paul Adelabu was also a seasoned politician, a former Special Assistant to the immediate past Governor of Oyo State until his death, he was the Chairman, Board of Trustees, Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD).

 

Adelabu was a social worker and one of the pioneer  distinguished members of the Nigeria Association of Social Workers (NASoW), Oyo State chapter.

 

He had also served as Principal to Rehabilitation Center for people with disabilities in Moniya, Ibadan.

 

Mrs Lois Auta and the entire coalition of Network of Women with Disabilities expresses sincerest condolences with the family and the entire disability community and the Nation.
